Our Facility

The Valemount Learning Centre facilities and services are provided for educational, research, and job search purposes. Drop by the Learning Centre and our friendly, knowledgeable staff will be happy to show you around.

Computer Lab

The computer room is complete with eleven computers; all computers have Internet access. The computers are equipped with Windows XP and Office XP Professional.

Use our computers to create a resume, take an online course or practice your computer skills. The computer lab is open for use during our hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

If you require one on one tutoring for basic computer skills contact our Learning Consultant, Pat Powell, for an appointment.

Resource Area

The resource area has a wealth of up-to-date information, including a job board, college and university calendars, books, and other information dedicated to career decision-making, skills enhancement, and job search. Clients can borrow books for up to three weeks.  Become a VLC library member and sign out books at the front desk.

Training Room

The training room has space to comfortably seat 14 people. There is a telephone and computer located in the training room for client use.
Additionally, we have an overhead projector and screen, television, DVD player, white boards, and flip chart.
