Bookkeeper/Receptionist - Valemount Real Estate

Hours: Permanent part-time.  This position is currently for 10 hours (2 days) per week.  Hours are to be reviewed
after a 3 month probationary period.
Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have previous experience managing the books of a business/office,
preferably including working with trust accounts.  A positive attitude and ability to work with the public are also essential for this position, as is a high degree of confidentiality and comfort both in fielding phone calls and greeting walk-in clientele.
Computer skills required for this position include an in-depth working knowledge of Sage 50, MS Word, Windows File Explorer (i.e., filing on the computer), and general Internet abilities.  Administrative skills such as multitasking, prioritizing, file management, and the ability to use and trouble-shoot office equipment are also essential.
Job Duties:  Maintaining an orderly accounting system.
Paying invoices in a timely manner.
Making bank deposits.
Generating employee pay cheques and maintaining payroll records.
Providing information to the external accountant.
Assembling information for external auditors.
General reception/administrative responsibilities to cover for Office Assistant while out of office.
