Business Development Officer - Community Futures

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Job Duties: -Facilitating business planning workshops using the Business Model Canvas methodology.
-One-on-one client coaching to support business planning or restructuring.
-Working closely with WorkBC Centres in the Fraser Fort George region to promote and deliver the Self Employment Program training and support.
-Administer and lead the Cariboo-Business Entrepreneur Skills Training (C-BEST) program.
-Coordinate CF functions and events.
-Coordinate the Business Review Committee meetings.
-Liaise, collaborate and support community business and development organizations across the region.
-Ensuring data entry is up-to-date in our Client Management System.
-Travelling to the outlaying communities, as required.
Qualifications: -Bachelor Degree in Commerce or Business, or demonstration of equivalent experience and related
background.
-Ability to provide client services support via business coaching.
-Above average communication, presentation, facilitation and analytical skills.
-Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Programs, familiarity with Client Management Systems would be an asset.
-Ability to plan, organize, and assess multiple networking, workshops, and training activities.
-Strong administration capabilities.
-Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
-Commercial lending knowledge would be an asset.
-Experienced in research methodologies, an asset.
-Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required.
