This position will involve two months of transitionary help, to help train staff in payroll and ROE’s with approximately 5 hours per month extra for 2 months, and then ongoing 4-6 hours per month. The position will start as soon as possible and will remain open until filled.
Wage: Contract position—Please respond with your hourly rate, two references and the best way to reach you.
Job Description:

Monthly financial statements to be completed by the 20th of the following month;

Yearly financial statements ready for the AGM;

Monthly and yearly bank reconciliation and overseeing local staff’s financial record keeping;

Liaising with an accountant when necessary;

Presenting financial statements at Board meetings when asked;

Answering questions by staff and Board members regarding finances.
Qualifications:
The VCAS is seeking a qualified bookkeeper to contract with the centre for ongoing financial management and to support centre staff. The bookkeeper will report to the Centre Manager.

Must be able to work on site and be fluent in Quickbooks;

As the centre often applies for grants, the bookkeeper will ideally be available on short notice to assist with completing financials for grants as directed by the Centre Manager.
