Hours: Full time, year round employment.  8:30 am to 5 pm.  Group Benefits available after 6 months employment.
Job Duties:  The position is to provide the highest standard of cleanliness to guests throughout the hotel.  A Room
Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to the guests, must be pleasant, friendly and take pride in their work.
Main Duties:
Be ready to begin work at a specific time.
Professional attitude is required.
Physical mobility and stamina are requirements of this position.
Ability to attend to detail and follow instructions is required.
Ability to work independently, quickly, and carefully.
Good organizational skills and teamwork is an asset.
Maintain business confidentiality at all times, both on and off duty.
Follow the operating procedures and standards.
Must be able to push laundry cart.
Some lifting may be required.
Thoroughly clean rooms quickly, neatly and efficiently.
Strip soiled linens from beds and replace with clean linen.
Check mattress pads, blankets, duvets, pillow covers for cleanliness and stains.
Strip soiled towels from guest room and bathroom and replace with clean towels.
Scrub bathroom vanity, toilet, tub, and bathroom floor.
Clean bathroom mirror and any mirrors in guest room.
Clean bathroom fan as required, as well as light covers.
Stock amenities as required, including current newspaper.
Open window to air out room as required.
Check PTAC unit and TV's for proper operation.
Check and clean fridge and microwave.
Clean, organize and stock coffee stations.
Dust all areas, armoire, desk, coat rack area, television, PTAC unit, window ledgers, night stand, headboard, pictures, and door frames.
Be sure curtain pull rods are connected to drapery.
Prior to vacuuming, check behind and under furniture, and sofa beds for garbage, dust buildup.
Vacuum guest rooms and public area leading into guest room.
Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
Honor "Do Not Disturb" signage.  Contact Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor for further instructions.
Report any maintenance issues as required.
Ensure hallways are clean and presentable.
Cart, equipment, storerooms and supplies are kept organized, clean, and fully stocked.
Garbage, recycling to be taken to designated areas daily.
Be aware of the potential hazards of chemicals used and the proper protective equipment required when using such chemicals.
Have knowledge of MSDS sheets.
Perform duties of any position required within the department.
Maintain a professional attitude with staff and guests.
Label and submit lost and found items immediately to front desk.
Attendance, appearance, work habits, attitude, personal hygiene, adherence to the dress code is mandatory. 
Take part in training in accordance to hotel's requirements.
Respect and obey hotel rules and policies.
Inform Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor of all department issues or concerns.
Maintain a positive attitude, be honest and reliable, and respect your co-workers.
Use good judgement and common sense.
Read all memos and stay informed of updates.
Offer suggestions or opinions to Manager or Supervisors to assist the department in efficiency.
A Room Attendant must perform any duties the Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor assigns.  Good workmanship, positive attitude and the ability to address problems or special requests are required for this position.
